Acquisition Support Specialist III (Senior)

Functional Responsibilities:

As required, works closely with senior analysts, SME’s (COR’s, Program Managers and program offices) to develop requirements and create, collaborate and/or review acquisition documentation such as Statements of Work (SOW’s), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE’s), etc., for acquisition planning and execution. Assists in the development of Acquisition Plans, reviews acquisition packages prior to submission to the Acquisition Office, assists in the review of existing contracts to determine compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies, and trains staff on current procurement laws, regulations and policies. As detailed in specific orders, the support staff, when appropriate, could be tasked to provide, via the COR or authorized FDA staff, clarification documentation to acquisition office as part of Liaison duties. Further, it is understood that decisional communications will come from an authorized government official. As required, assists in the performance of market research and trends, as they apply to the program, with guidance of the lead analyst. As required, assists with the development of source selection evaluation criteria. Coordinates and works with the technical experts and the contracting office to ensure project milestones are reflected in the contractual documents and project plan. As required, assists in the development of IGCE’s. As required, is also responsible for assisting with the planning, preparing, and maintaining of the current acquisition plans and overall program office acquisition administration functions, to include control and tracking. As needed, conducts contract portfolio analysis to provide recommendations to improve acquisition approaches, and assists customers with maximizing taxpayer dollars.

Minimum Qualifications :

10+ years of experience. Bachelor’s Degree.
